Baseball Game Preview: Clover Blue Eagles vs. James F. Byrnes Rebels

For the second straight game, Clover will face off against James F. Byrnes. The Blue Eagles will face off against the Rebels at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clover is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

James F. Byrnes hit Clover with a nine-run fifth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Blue Eagles came up short against the Rebels, falling 13-6.

Carson Politsch made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. TJ McCluney was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

The win made it two in a row for James F. Byrnes and bumps their season record up to 15-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Clover, their loss dropped their record down to 14-12.
