Basketball Recap: Mckenna Scott Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Harrison Central

Indian Creek won the last time they faced Harrison Central and things went their way on Monday too. The Indian Creek Redskins enjoyed a cozy 44-28 win over the Harrison Central Huskies. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Redskins.

Indian Creek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mckenna Scott, who posted 19 points and five boards. Scott continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Klinesmith, who had 11 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Indian Creek smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harrison Central only pulled down five offensive boards.

Several Huskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mikayla Pelegreen, who scored ten points.

Indian Creek is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Harrison Central, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-6.

Indian Creek has already played their next game (against Oak Glen), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Harrison Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Edison at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Edison will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Harrison Central surely won't give up without a fight.
