Western had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They really took it to the Dundalk Owls for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-18 victory. Western has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matchups by 22 points or more this season.

When it comes to explaining why Dundalk lost on Wednesday, don't look at Lanaya Valentine. Despite the final result, she posted 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That was a full 77.8% of Dundalk's points, marking the sixth time in a row Valentine has had more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Julianna Fraser, who earned a point in addition to seven boards and five blocks.

The win (which was Western's 12th in a row) raised their record to 20-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 18.4 points on average over those games. As for Dundalk, their loss dropped their record down to 13-10.

As of now, neither Western nor Dundalk have any future games scheduled.
