Basketball Recap: Avon Takes a Loss

Avon won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They took a blow against the Hall Titans, falling 63-34. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Falcons have suffered against the Titans since January 31, 2019.

Aiden Delaney was his usual excellent self, going 7 of 12 en route to 17 points in addition to six boards and six steals for Hall. With that strong performance, Delaney is now averaging an impressive 2.5 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Ashton Garcia, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 10 points and three steals.

Avon's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Hall, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Avon has already played their next contest, a 66-57 defeat against Tolland on the 13th. As for Hall, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-64 victory against RHAM on the 14th.
