Recap: Central Christian Comets vs. Kingsway Christian Eagles
The Central Christian Comets gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past Kingsway Christian 66-18 at home. With Central Christian ahead 44-10 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Central Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bryan Martin out in front who scored 15 points along with 9 rebounds and 7 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Badertscher, who scored 18 points along with 5 assists and 3 steals.
Despite the loss, Kingsway Christian still got an impressive performance from AJ Yoder, who scored 11 points.
Central Christian's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Kingsway Christian, they have fallen quite a ways from their 28-12 record last season and are now at 1-3.
Central Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Rittman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kingsway Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Loudonville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
