Beckman hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least two batters in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, San Clemente unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of El Toro by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tritons have suffered since March 21st.
Luca Cifuentes was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 18 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Puka Iosua made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.
Beckman's win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for San Clemente, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 18-6-1.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Beckman hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .318.
