Basketball Recap: Twin Lakes Comes Up Short

Twin Lakes played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Hamilton Heights Huskies 73-41. The contest marked the Indians' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Twin Lakes' loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryce Wilhite, who posted ten points. What's more, Wilhite also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Leo Dellinger, who earned six points along with eight assists and three steals.

Gavin Saunders continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Hamilton Heights, going 8-for-13 from beyond the arc to rack up 24 points and five rebounds. Saunders is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 43% in the last ten games he's played. Tyler Champion was another key player, going 5-for-9 en route to 10 points in addition to eight assists and four steals.

Twin Lakes' defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Hamilton Heights, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Twin Lakes wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 51-41 victory against Delphi Community on the 22nd. As for Hamilton Heights, they will welcome Rushville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hamilton Heights is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62 points per game this season.
