Soccer Game Preview: Orestimba vs. Escalon

The Orestimba Warriors will head out to square off against the Escalon Cougars at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

Orestimba is headed into Friday's following a draw, the team's first since December 12. Neither they nor Ripon Christian could gain the upper hand on Wednesday so the two teams had to settle for a 4-4 draw. A fantastic three-goal performance from Alfredo Figueroa still wasn't enough to secure a win.

Escalon got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They had just enough and edged Ripon out 2-1 on Wednesday.

Escalon's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-8-4. Orestimba's draw gives them a new season record of 6-7-3.

Orestimba was able to grind out a solid win over Escalon when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 3-1. Does Orestimba have another victory up their sleeve, or will Escalon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
