Basketball Game Preview: Riverside Beavers vs. Collinwood Railroaders

The Riverside Beavers will take on the Collinwood Railroaders at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Riverside has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 187 points over their last three games.

Last Monday, Riverside was able to grind out a solid victory over Geneva, taking the game 64-54.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 59 points the game before, Collinwood was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They were beaten by GlenOak 64-26. The match marked the Railroaders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Riverside's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-3. As for Collinwood, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-6.

Everything came up roses for Riverside against Collinwood in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 63-28 victory. In that contest, Riverside amassed a halftime lead of 44-18, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
