Basketball Game Preview: Bloomfield Bombers vs. Palmyra-Macedon Red Raiders

The Bloomfield Bombers will head out on the road to face off against the Palmyra-Macedon Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Bloomfield earned a 41-30 win over Penn Yan Academy. Given the Bombers' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 175th, while the Mustangs are ranked 359th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Palmyra-Macedon entered their tilt with Midlakes on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They claimed a resounding 48-20 victory over the Screaming Eagles. 48 seems to be a good number for the Red Raiders as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Palmyra-Macedon's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6. As for Bloomfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Things could have been worse for Bloomfield, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-48 loss to Palmyra-Macedon in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Bloomfield avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
