Basketball Game Preview: Timberlane Owls vs. Keene Blackbirds

The Timberlane Owls will challenge the Keene Blackbirds at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Timberlane has struggled recently with 11 defeats in a row, while Keene will arrive with five straight victories.

Timberlane might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 71-59 to Pelham, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Keene). They blew past Concord, posting a 93-39 win. Given the Blackbirds' advantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while the Crimson Tide are ranked 79th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Keene's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Timberlane, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
