Volleyball Recap: Indianapolis Washington Falls to Shelbyville in First Game of Season

Indianapolis Washington had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Shelbyville Golden Bears on Monday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Indianapolis Washington took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-14, 25-21.

Shelbyville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-7 record this season.

Indianapolis Washington will venture away from home to challenge Irvington Preparatory Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Shelbyville, they will welcome Greenwood at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
