Volleyball Recap: Symmes Valley Starts Season with Loss at Home

Symmes Valley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Chesapeake Panthers on Monday, falling 3-0. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-16, 25-14.

Bre Scarberry was the offensive standout of the game as she had 13 digs and three assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Symmes Valley has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Valley on the 19th. As for Chesapeake, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Rock Hill on the 19th.
