Basketball Game Preview: Van Bulldogs vs. Tug Valley Panthers

The Van Bulldogs will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge the Tug Valley Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Van is leaving town to face Tug Valley after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Van took a blow against Man on Thursday, falling 46-14. The Bulldogs' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row dating back to last season.

Despite their loss, Van saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Hailey Tackett, who posted six points in addition to six boards and three blocks, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Brailynn McCarty, who put up two points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Meanwhile, Tug Valley didn't have too much trouble with St. Joseph Central on Tuesday as they won 55-37. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Van was dealt a bruising 76-29 defeat at the hands of Tug Valley in their previous meeting back in February of 2022. Can Van avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
