Softball Recap: Tenafly Wins Going Away Against Bergen Charter

Tenafly not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 24th (when they won 23-13). Everything went their way against Bergen Charter as they made off with a 13-3 victory.

Georgia Cogan spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ryan Lines, who went 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alexandra Rosensweet, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Tenafly's win bumped their record up to 5-17. As for Bergen Charter, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Coming up, Tenafly will be playing at home against NV - Old Tappan at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Bergen Charter, they will take on American Christian School at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
