Honaker is 10-0 against Chilhowie since January of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Honaker Tigers will challenge the Chilhowie Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Honaker is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 12 games.

Honaker will head into Wednesday's contest hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 48) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 33-30 win over Eastside. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Spartans are ranked 208th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Chilhowie lost 53-28 to Grayson County on Wednesday. The Warriors have struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Honaker's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-1. As for Chilhowie, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

Everything came up roses for Honaker against Chilhowie when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 57-12 win. Will Honaker repeat their success, or does Chilhowie have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
