Putnam County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 23rd straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 75-59 bruising from the St. Bede Bruins. One positive for the Panthers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Putnam County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-21. As for St. Bede, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-12 record this season.

Putnam County will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Newman Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on February 11th. St. Bede will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Midland at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th.
