Football Recap: Seymour Wildcats vs. Woodland Regional Hawks

Seymour was the 34-14 winner over Woodland Regional when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Seymour Wildcats had to suffer through a 68-13 loss at the hands of the Woodland Regional Hawks. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Seymour's loss on Wednesday came despite strong showings from Anthony Cortello and Jake George. Cortello threw for 123 yards and two touchdowns, while George picked up 128 receiving yards. George's longest reception was for an incredible 70 yards.

Jack Brunetti continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Woodland Regional, throwing for 254 yards and five touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes. Erik Pulkkinen also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Seymour's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Woodland Regional, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

As of now, neither Seymour nor Woodland Regional have any future games scheduled.
