Taylor County triumphant thanks to a strong effort from Brayden Ellison

Recap: Taylor County Vikings vs. Crawford County Eagles

The Taylor County Vikings won the last time they faced the Crawford County Eagles, and things went their way on Saturday too. Taylor County came out on top against Crawford County by a score of 55-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Taylor County.

It was another big night for Brayden Ellison, who scored 27 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Taylor County's points. Ajavian Wilder was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.

When it comes to explaining why Crawford County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mareo Slaton. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. The matchup was Slaton's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Tyler Smith, who scored 12 points.

Taylor County's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Crawford County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Taylor County will be playing at home against Greenville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 419th, while Taylor County is ranked 205th). As for Crawford County, they will head out on the road to face off against Pike County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Pike County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday.
