Football Game Preview: Woods Cross Wildcats vs. Olympus Titans + Official Tickets

The Woods Cross Wildcats will face off against the Olympus Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Woods Cross is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Viewmont: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Wildcats blew the Vikings out of the water with a 43-7 final score. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Woods Cross had a senior duo take command as Viliami Tapa'Atoutai rushed for 205 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.2 yards per carry and Jesse Simmons rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. Tapa'Atoutai also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Wildcats are undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.

Woods Cross was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 453 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Woods Cross' defense made their presence known, laying out Jack Savage four times. Hayden Thorne was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Olympus walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Pirates 42-0. The Titans' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Woods Cross' win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Olympus, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Everything came up roses for Woods Cross against Olympus in their previous matchup on October 9th, as the team secured a 40-7 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Titans' Beckham Allred, who rushed for 88 yards and one TD on only eight carries.
