Baseball Recap: Hamden Wins Going Away Against Hillhouse

While Hamden put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Hillhouse. The Green Dragons were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Academics. Considering the Green Dragons have won three matches by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Hamden is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Hillhouse, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hamden will take on North Haven at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hillhouse, they will challenge Wilbur Cross at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Academics are facing the Governors at the right time seeing as the Governors are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
