Recap: North Fork Miners vs. Aspen Skiers
The North Fork Miners had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 38-29 win over Aspen on Friday. The victory was just what North Fork needed coming off of a 57-34 defeat in their prior matchup.
North Fork's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kalia Schevene, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Lovelace, who scored nine points along with six assists.
North Fork's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11. As for Aspen, their loss was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-14.
North Fork didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-31 loss vs. Grand Valley on the 10th. Aspen has also already played their next match, a 56-17 loss against Olathe on the 10th.
