Volleyball Recap: Princeton Vikings vs. Mercy McAuley Wolves
Princeton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Mercy McAuley Wolves, falling 3-0.
Timaya Crooks paced Princeton's offense, picking up four kills. Crooks got some help from Trysta Leach and her ten assists. Finally, Lauryn Adams kept Princeton's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.
Princeton's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Mercy McAuley, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Princeton and Sycamore will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mercy McAuley, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Archbishop McNicholas at 12:00 p.m.
