Baseball Recap: West Bladen Comes Up Short

West Bladen lost against Whiteville back in May of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Knights fell just short of the Wolfpack by a score of 8-7. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

JT Hepler and Cade Allen did some serious damage despite the final result: Hepler went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double, while Allen went 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Allister Russ, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

West Bladen's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Whiteville, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1.

West Bladen didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-0 win against Midway on the 10th. As for Whiteville, they have also already played their next game, a 14-1 victory against Pender on the 10th.
