Basketball Recap: Barron Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Barron won the last time they faced Spooner and things went their way on Monday too. The Barron Golden Bears took down the Spooner Rails 83-64. Given the Golden Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 179th, while the Rails are ranked 423rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Barron's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.2 points over those games. As for Spooner, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.

Barron wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 81-69 defeat against Bloomer on the 11th. As for Spooner, they will face off against Chetek-Weyerhaeuser at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
