Basketball Recap: Ravenswood Comes Up Short

Ravenswood played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Ritchie County Rebels, falling 65-40. The Red Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-17.

Ritchie County found their leader in sophomore Elsa Law, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Law has scored all season. Chelsie Jeffrey was another key player, putting up 14 points and five steals.

Ravenswood dropped their record down to 6-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Ritchie County, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Ravenswood is taking a road trip to take on Ripley at 7:00 p.m. on February 12th. As for Ritchie County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-56 win against Tyler on the 5th.
