Softball Recap: Edgemont Triumphs

Edgemont won the last time they faced Scarsdale and things went their way on Monday too. The Panthers walked away with a 5-2 win over the Raiders.

Edgemont's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Scarsdale, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Edgemont will face off against Pelham Memorial at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pelicans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.13 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Scarsdale, they will take on New Rochelle at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Huguenots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.89 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
