The West Shamokin Wolves will head out to challenge the Homer-Center Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Shamokin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

West Shamokin is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Purchase Line just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Red Dragons by a score of 10-9.

Braden Talmadge was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Gunnar Shoop, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Homer-Center had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Knights a 15-0 shutout. Considering the Wildcats have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Brayden Rado was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Noah Turk was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Homer-Center hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in seven consecutive matchups.

Homer-Center pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for West Shamokin, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.
