Soccer Recap: East Wake Falls to Wakefield in First Game of Season

East Wake unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They lost 9-0 to the Wakefield Wolverines on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to East Wake of the 8-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2018.

The win got Wakefield back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Wake is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Bunn at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wakefield, they will head out to take on Sanderson at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
