Softball Game Preview: Princeton Panthers vs. Plano West Wolves

The Princeton Panthers will face off against the Plano West Wolves at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Princeton has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Plano West will arrive with four straight wins.

Princeton lost 13-3 to Allen on Friday.

Princeton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daeshana Wilson, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Plano West and Allen, and Plano West kept the tradition alive. Plano West narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Allen 3-2.

Marlee Flanigan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high.

Princeton's loss dropped their record down to 4-10-1. As for Plano West, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
