Football Recap: Milton Comes Up Short at Home Against Shikellamy

Milton unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They received a blow on Friday as they fell 33-15 to the Shikellamy Braves. The Black Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Braves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Despite the loss, Milton still got an impressive performance from Montgomery Fisher, who rushed for 131 yards and two scores on only 15 carries. Fisher didn't just play on offense: he also made four total tackles and defended one pass.

Brody Rebuck had a dynamite game For Shikellamy., rushing for 71 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also throwing for 301 yards and two TDs while picking up 13.1 yards per attempt. Those 71 rushing yards gave Rebuck a new career-high. Thomas Pollock was another key player, picking up 142 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Coming up, Milton will welcome Montoursville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Shikellamy, they are taking a road trip to square off against Lewisburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
