Softball Recap: Carbon Hill Find Success

Carbon Hill won the last time they faced Oakman and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Carbon Hill Bulldogs came out on top against the Oakman Wildcats by a score of 7-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Ella Hyde was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. What's more, she gave up only four hits, the fewest she's had over her last nine matchups. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits.

In other batting news, Ady Pike was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Raelea Guy, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3.

Carbon Hill now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Oakman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Carbon Hill will venture away from home to face off against Winfield at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oakman, they will welcome Lynn at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lynn's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Oakman's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
