The Ray Bearcats will venture away from home to square off against the Globe Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Ray is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
Ray had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 20-run drubbing they dealt St. David on Friday. The Bearcats put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 20-0 win. The Bearcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.
The result came thanks to Logan Rice's shutout, as he gave up just two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Rj Nunez, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, eight RBI, and three runs. Those eight RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Asher Warren, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one double.
Ray was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .357 or higher in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Globe unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against Florence, falling 18-3.
Globe saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Layton, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple was Layton's first of the season.
Ray's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Globe, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Ray hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .356. However, it's not like Globe struggles in that department as they've averaged .321. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Ray came out on top in a nail-biter against Globe when the teams last played back in April of 2025, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bearcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
