Basketball Recap: Robertsdale Golden Bears vs. Chickasaw Chieftains
The Robertsdale Golden Bears had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against Chickasaw by a score of 44-35. That's another feather in the cap for Robertsdale, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Mallorie Rothe was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 20 points, 11 rebounds, and ten steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Shaunte Sanders, who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
Robertsdale has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 15-12 record this season. As for Chickasaw, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-16.
Robertsdale will take on the Toros at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Spanish Fort has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 193 points over their last three matchups. Chickasaw does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
