Soccer Recap: Heritage Hills Starts Season with Win at Home

Heritage Hills gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Southridge Raiders a 3-0 shutout. The score was close at halftime, but Heritage Hills pulled away in the second half with two goals.

They hit Southridge with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Gavin Rust, Carter Payne, and Fabian Garcia.

This is the second loss in a row for Southridge and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Heritage Hills will head out on the road to square off against North Harrison at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Southridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Boonville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
