Basketball Game Preview: Schuylerville Horses vs. Glens Falls Black Bears

Schuylerville hasn't had much luck against Glens Falls recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Schuylerville Horses will look to defend their home court against the Glens Falls Black Bears at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Monday, Schuylerville lost to Scotia-Glenville at home by a 47-31 margin. The Horses have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Glens Falls came up short against Scotia-Glenville on Tuesday and fell 62-53.

Schuylerville will need focus on slowing down Allie Dickinson, one of several Glens Falls players who made an impact when they last played. She posted 19 points. Those 19 points gave Dickinson a new career-high. Sarah Wolfstich was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Glens Falls has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Schuylerville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.

Schuylerville took a serious blow against Glens Falls in their previous meeting back in January, falling 64-29. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Schuylerville was down 41-12.
