Baseball Game Preview: Toledo Indians vs. Mossyrock Vikings

The Toledo Indians will head out to square off against the Mossyrock Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The last four games Toledo has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Toledo will bounce into Friday's game after beating Napavine, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Indians sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Tigers on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mossyrock). Everything went their way against Onalaska on Wednesday as they made off with a 17-10 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Toledo has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. As for Mossyrock, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Toledo couldn't quite finish off Mossyrock when the teams last played back in April of 2019 and fell 8-6. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
