The Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Lion scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Carolina Friends 85-23 at home. That looming 85-23 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill yet this season.
It was another big night for Kyren Smith, who scored 41 points along with seven assists and three steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zachary Powery, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds.
Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Carolina Friends, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing St. Thomas More Academy the next time they take the court. Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill will head out to face St. Thomas More Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Carolina Friends will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
