Basketball Recap: Ross Now 9-1 over Last Ten Games

Ross won the last time they faced Edgewood, and Lanie Lipps did her part to make sure it happened again. The Ross Rams breezed past the Edgewood Cougars to the tune of 70-40 on Thursday thanks in part to Lipps, who went 14 for 27 en route to 39 points and six steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Ross' points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Caroline Chernock, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in rebounds.

Edgewood lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ella Allen, who posted nine points.

Ross is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.4 points over those games. As for Edgewood, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.
