It was fun while it lasted, but Paramus Catholic's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Sunday. They lost 65-45 to the Elizabeth Minutemen. The loss was the Paladins' first of the season.

Elizabeth's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Torres led the charge by going 5 of 10 on his way to 13 points and eight rebounds. Torres is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Johnson, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 17 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Paramus Catholic fell to 3-1. As for Elizabeth, the victory was the ninth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Paramus Catholic will host Gill St. Bernard's at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Elizabeth and Gilman will round out the year against one another at at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.
