Preview: Frankton Eagles vs. Yorktown Tigers
After two games on the road, Frankton is heading back home. They will take on the Yorktown Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Frankton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Thursday.
Frankton can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match. They breezed by Tipton on the road to the tune of 75-14. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Frankton has managed all season.
Frankton had a senior duo take command as Amaya Collins went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 31 points and 1 assist and Emma Sperry scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Collins has scored all season. Emma Key was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Yorktown came up short against Delta on Saturday and fell 49-38.
Frankton's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Yorktown, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.
