Kingston's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the Akron-Fairgrove Vikings by a score of 5-1. The win continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won five in a row.

Kingston's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Collin Corlis, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Brayden Borek also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Kingston's win bumped their record up to 3-7-1. As for Akron-Fairgrove, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kingston will welcome Caseville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
