Basketball Game Preview: Cape Elizabeth Capers vs. Wells Warriors

The Cape Elizabeth Capers will face off against the Wells Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Cape Elizabeth came up short against Kennebunk on Saturday, falling 61-38. While losing is never fun, the Capers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Rams are ranked 30th).

Meanwhile, Wells had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Traip by a score of 57-46 on Thursday. That 11 point margin sets a new team best for the Warriors this season.

Wells' win bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Cape Elizabeth, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-11.

Cape Elizabeth didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Wells in their previous matchup on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 65-61 victory. Will Cape Elizabeth repeat their success, or does Wells have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
