It was a good run, but Breckinridge County unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Campbellsville Eagles by a score of 9-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-4 back in March.

Tristan Wicker was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Breckinridge County got a massive performance out of Harper Lucas, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-6. Connor Willis was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5.

Breckinridge County's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Campbellsville, their win bumped their record up to 15-5.

Coming up, Breckinridge County will be playing at home against Central Hardin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Campbellsville, they will head out to challenge Adair County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
