Softball Recap: Northridge Comes Up Short

Northridge and Hunter squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Northridge had to settle for second. They lost 18-11 to the Wolverines. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolverines earlier this season, when they won 16-15.

Braylynn McClellan was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Berklee Larsen, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Northridge has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season. As for Hunter, their record is now 11-15.

Northridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hunter, they will head out on the road to face off against Bountiful at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The RedHawks' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Wolverines' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
