Baseball Recap: Preston Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Preston). They never let the Riverside Indian Braves get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Tuesday. The Pirates' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

The team relied heavily on Kaden Dean, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Dean is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Herring, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Preston always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .609. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Preston's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Riverside Indian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Preston will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Dibble at 7:00 p.m. on March 21st. As for Riverside Indian, they will take on Apache at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
