Soccer Game Preview: Springstead vs. Belleview

The Springstead Eagles will take on the Belleview Rattlers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Springstead is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.7 goals per game this season.

Belleview will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Springstead extended their winning streak to three last Thursday. The Eagles came out on top against The Villages Charter by a score of 3-1. Given Springstead's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 164th, while The Villages Charter are ranked 356th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tyler Siebe and Dylan Spatola scored all three of Springstead's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 27 goals.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Belleview had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 2-0 win.

Springstead's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Belleview, their win bumped their record up to 4-10-2.
