Volleyball Recap: Arvin Falls to Rosamond in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Arvin had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rosamond Roadrunners. While the Bears didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Roadrunners 25-16 in the first set.

Arvin started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-23.

Danitza Moreno paced Arvin's offense, picking up five kills. Moreno got some help from Destiny Robles and her seven assists. Finally, Mariana Soto kept Arvin's defense grounded, leading the team with nine blocks.

Rosamond's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Arvin will be playing at home against Taft at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rosamond, they will take on South at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
