Basketball Game Preview: Covenant Classical Warriors vs. SouthLake Christian Academy Eagles

The Covenant Classical Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the SouthLake Christian Academy Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Covenant Classical has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.

Last Tuesday, Covenant Classical was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 35-34 to Greater Cabarrus S. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Stallions recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite their loss, Covenant Classical saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Ava Gromis, who posted nine points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelia Miller, who earned seven points.

Meanwhile, SouthLake Christian Academy ended up a good deal behind Asheville Christian Academy on Saturday and lost 55-38. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

SouthLake Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Covenant Classical, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
