Volleyball Recap: Hokes Bluff Falls to Glencoe in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Hokes Bluff kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Glencoe Yellowjackets, falling 3-0. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Yellowjackets when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-12, 25-12.

Leading Glencoe to victory were Gracyn Bunt and Avery Barkley. Bunt had 16 digs, while Barkley had nine assists and three aces. Those 16 digs gave Bunt a new career-high.

Coming up, Hokes Bluff will head out to take on Cherokee County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Glencoe, they will face off against Alexandria at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
